Mike Gagnon serves as the President of Alumage Advisors, providing strategy, financing, M&A and CEO advisory services to technology companies and financial institutions alike, including throughout the Connected Lighting/IoT, Horticultural, and Lighting for Health ecosystems.
With 30 years experience in LED lighting, semiconductors, wireless and networking technologies, Mike has delivered $1.2B in deals worldwide and increased shareholder value by $2.6B, in working with companies from start-up to $500M revenue.
Mike also founded the LED High Bay and C&I Smart Lighting Reports in 2013, recognized by the U.S. DoE as "the most comprehensive database of its kind in the industry". He also serves on the advisory board of the Strategies-in-Light Conference and most recently as co-chair of the SiL Investor Forum.
Prior to Alumage, Mike was engaged in semiconductor-related technology strategy and M&A services, and founded GTV Capital, which he merged with Vista Ventures, creating a $75M venture capital fund focused on semiconductor, network infrastructure and data services companies. He has also held executive positions as a start-up CEO, managed a $100M P&L within a F1000 company and has evaluated ~1,000 technology companies during his career.
Mike has an MBA from California State University, a BSEE from UMASS, studied strategic planning at Harvard University and is a graduate of the Venture Capital Institute. He is engaged in social entrepreneurship in his community and has served on the venture review committees at MIT and UMASS.
