Mike Gagnon serves as President
of Alumage Advisors, providing strategy/partnership/M&A advisory
services to CEOs throughout the LED lighting ecosystem of manufacturers, financial
institutions and channel partners since 2011.
With 30 years experience in LED lighting, semiconductors and networking technologies, Mike has delivered $1.2B in deals worldwide and increased shareholder value by $2.6B. He has evaluated more than 1,000 companies, from start-ups to $500M revenue.
He has served as co-chair of the Strategies-in-Light Investor Forum, and for several years, a featured speaker and advisory board member of SiL. Mike also founded the LED High Bay and Smart Lighting Reports in 2013, recognized by the U.S. DoE as "the most comprehensive database of its kind in the industry".
Prior to Alumage, Mike was engaged in semiconductor-related strategy and M&A services. He also founded, then merged 2 venture capital funds with $75M under management. His earlier operating experience includes executive positions in 3 start-ups with ~$100M invested, and GM within a F1000 company.
Mike has an MBA from California State University, a BSEE from UMASS, studied strategic planning at Harvard University and is a graduate of the Venture Capital Institute. He is engaged in social entrepreneurship in his community and has served on the venture review committees at MIT and UMASS.
